Dear Sir/ Madam, The Telders Organizing Office has the pleasure of inviting a student-team from your University to participate in the 32nd Edition of the Telders International Law Moot Court Competition. This unique annual event will be held at the Peace Palace in The Hague between the 16th and the 18th of April 2009. The main objective of the Telders Competition is to challenge students to excel in international law, consequently testing their creativity and powers of persuasion in a friendly competition. Students and academic staff throughout Europe consider participation to be a great honour and a wonderful experience. By attracting participants from universities all over Europe the Competition also encourages European interaction and integration. Enclosed is the Telders Case 2009 concerning sovereignty over Abundantia Ridge and other matters (Rosmarus v Urusus). This case involves issues of public international law, including the law of the sea, the law of treaties and international environmental law. We would kindly invite you to visit our website at www.grotiuscentre.org (click on ''Telders Moot Court''), which contains important information regarding participation, as well as a more general background to the Telders International Law Moot Court Competition.
