Specialist in information science (informatology). Research interests cover: the information and digital society policy of the European Union including the developement of this society, new information and communication  technologies supported by and being under development in the European Union (as for example: Big data, Cloud computing, Internet of Thinds, RFIS, Indystry 4.0, Open Data and so on),, Single Digital Market,, e-Government, smart cities as well as cybersecurity. Besides, research interest coves the implementation process of the European Union recomendations, i.e. "The Digital Agenda for Europe" and in Poland "Program Operacyjny Polska Cyfrowa". These topics are in close relation to the Research and Innovation Policy of the European Union which covers also the information and communication technologies and European standardization issues boosting the development of the information society.. Among the research topics there are also information sources of the European Union and of other European organizations (like: data bases, information networks, social media and various, information tools supporting communication process between government and citizens).The European Union projects like  FIESTA II on the European Union information networks had been guided. Visiting Professor at Kent State University Ohio, USA, several visits and internships in the United Kingdom (for example at: The Polytechnic of North London, The University of Sheffield, The University of Bristol). In the period 1990-2000 member of the editorial board of the most prestigious journal in information science "Journal of Information Science" (London), while at presentva  member of the editorial board of "Studia Europejskie" (the CEUW quarterly scientific journal)..Participation in many international and domestic scientific conferences and seminars on information science and European information (recently: "Internet Science", Brusellss,;"Technology Week", London). The last organized conference in Poland: Big data i cloud computing w informacji i w nauce – 2016) Member of the Team of the President of the  Republic of Poland responsible for preparation of the accession referendum (2002/3) and member of the Polish Committee for Standardization (1998-2002) in the period of adjustment of the  Polish standardization to the European Union requirements in relation to the Polish membership in the European Union. .
