Wizyta prof. Manisha Thapy – Asia in the New Global Order – Implications for Europe

Szanowni Państwo,

w nadchodzącym tygodniu będzie gościł w Centrum Europejskim prof. Manish Thapa z Tribhuvan University i International Peace Studies at United Nations mandated University for Peace (UPEACE) in Costa Rica. Obecnie profesor wizytujący w ISM WNPiSM UW. W poniedziałek 29 października 2018 r. w godz. 14.00-15.15 wygłosi dla naszych studentów wykład pt. ‘Asia in the New Global Order – Implications for Europe’. Zapraszamy wszystkich chętnych do udziału w tym wydarzeniu. Dla studentów I roku studiów I i II stopnia w CE UW jest to możliwość zaliczenia kolejnych godzin z przedmiotu udział w życiu społeczno-gospodarczym (należy wypełnić kartę udziału w wydarzeniu).

Wykład odbędzie się w sali 214. Dla II roku studiów licencjackich w CE UW jest to wydarzenie obowiązkowe ponieważ jest częścią wykładu Polityka zagraniczna i bezpieczeństwa UE.

W środę 31 października w godz. 12.15-13.45 w sali 214 seminarzyści Centrum Europejskiego (i innych jednostek UW) będą mogli konsultować swoje prace dyplomowe z prof. Manishem Thapą. Dr. Manish Thapa is Research Professor of International Relations and Security Studies at Institute of International Relations – Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at University of Warsaw. He was Head and Professor of Peace and Security Studies at Department of Peace and Conflict Studies United Nations mandated University for Peace (UPEACE) in Costa Rica (2015-2018). He is one of the founding members of Department of Conflict, Peace & Development Studies at Tribhuvan University Nepal (2007-2015). He has served as Research Fellow in several universities and institutes in Europe and North America. He was Brown International Advanced Research Institute Fellow at Brown University (2011), Robert McNamara Visiting Research Fellow at the Department of Peace & Conflict Research at Uppsala University (2009-2010), McGill – Echenberg Human Rights Fellow at McGill University (2010), Kroc Visiting Research Fellow at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame, USA (2008-2009) and Sauvé Research Fellow at McGill University (2006-2007).

He has published numerous books, journal articles and book chapters with leading publishers and journals.
