prof. Monika Koeppl-Turyna

Prof. dr Monika Köppl-Turyna jest dyrektorem instytutu badawczego EcoAustria w Wiedniu. Jej badania koncentrują się na finansach publicznych, ekonomii politycznej, teorii wyboru publicznego oraz rynku pracy.

Prof. Köppl-Turyna uzyskała doktorat na Uniwersytecie Wiedeńskim w 2011 r., a w latach 2011-2015 była adiunktem na Lisbon University Institute. Następnie pracowała jako starszy ekonomista w Agenda Austria. Köppl-Turyna ukończyła habilitację na Uniwersytecie Johannesa Keplera w Linzu latem 2020 roku. Od września 2023 r. jest profesorem na Uniwersytecie Seeburg w Seekirchen. Zajmuje 5. miejsce wśród najbardziej wpływowych ekonomistów w Austrii w aktualnym rankingu ekonomistów Presse/FAZ/NZZ. Jest członkiem Global Labor Organization oraz rady naukowej czasopisma The Economists’ Voice.

Prof. Köppl-Turyna zasiada w wielu gremiach i stowarzyszeniach. Jest członkiem rady European Forum Alpbach, członkiem rady nadzorczej Erste Bank Stiftung, członkiem zarządu Niemieckiej Izby Handlowej w Austrii, członkiem rad naukowych Funduszu Rudolfa Salingera oraz Rady Klimatycznej Obywateli przy Austriackim Ministerstwie Ochrony Środowiska. W przeszłości zasiadała w zarządzie European Public Choice Society (2017-2021) oraz European Association of Young Economists (2014-2015). Jest członkiem stałej rady doradczej Austriackiego Ministerstwa Pracy i Gospodarki; doradza regularnie w Ministerstwie Finansów oraz Kanclerza Austrii; zasiada regularnie jako ekspert w komisjach parlamentarnych ds. finansów publicznych oraz spraw rodzinnych. Regularnie komentuje kwestie polityki gospodarczej w radiu, telewizji i mediach społecznościowych.

Jest autorką kilkudziesięciu artykułów naukowych w renomowanych międzynarodowych czasopismach, m.in., European Journal of Political Economy, Public Choice, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, Kyklos, Party Politics, Venture Capital i Telecommunications Policy. Ponadto jest autorką wielu rozdziałów w opracowaniach naukowych oraz kilkudziesięciu raportów badawczych z różnych dziedzin polityki gospodarczej. Recenzentka artykułów m.in. w czasopismach: Public Choice; Southern Economic Journal; European Journal of Political Economy; Local Government Studies; International Tax and Public Finance; Scottish Journal of Political Economy; Journal of Human Resources; Labour; Plos One; Kyklos; Journal of Public Economics

Wśród nagród i wyróżnień do najbardziej cennych należy zaliczyć: Nagroda imienia Knuta Wicksella za najlepszy artykuł młodego ekonomisty przyznawana przez European Public Choice Society (2011), Nagroda Young Economist Award za najlepszy artykuł młodego ekonomisty przyznawana przez Austriackie Stowarzyszenie Ekonomiczne (2015), Nagroda za najlepszy plakat – doroczne spotkanie Europejskiego Stowarzyszenia Ekonomistów Pracy (2017).
